Music veteran Chagga came out with a shocking revelation that the reason Weasel never went far with his studies was him. Chagga says tha Weasel dropped out of school after the sale of his first album Doreen which Chagga helped sell to Kasiiwukira.
Chagga wa responding to a Sanyuka TV reporte who was asking him about his beef with Weasel. In his words,
“I have no beef with Weasel. Nothing at all. Me and Weasel go way back. I knew Weasel before any of you here knew him. I am the one who sold Weasel’s first album, Doreen, to Kasiiwukira.
Go to Kasiiwuukira records and ask about the album called Doreen. I am the one who sold it for Weasel for a staggering two million Uganda shillings. it was much money by then and weasel was a young boy. he gave me 400,000 commission and he took 1.6M. He bought a motor bike and dropped out of school to pursue music.
I am the reason Weasel never studied much. Every time i remember that year i remember that if it wasn’t that money, Weasel would have studied. On the other hand, i helped him start a carrier in Music
