The much anticipated reappearance of Bobi Wine in court has come but with a little twist to it. He is appearing in court via video conference.
A huge number of fans, supporters, fellow MPs, musicians and other flocked Buganda road court this morning. They all wished to see their friend’s trial and possibly his release.
Everyone was however surprised when they learned that they wouldn’t be seeing Bobi Wine in court in person. Instead, he would stand trial via video conferencing from Luzira prison.
The court and prisons IT teams were working so hard to have the video conference set before court session of 9:00AM. There were some glitches and the session did not start in time as planned but it finally worked.
Bobi Wine was remanded to Luzira prison four days ago after being arrested when heading to Kibuli CIID headquarters.
