Winnie Nwagi, original name Winfred Nakanwagi, is a Ugandan singer and song writer. Winnie rose to fame after completing 3rd in the Coca-Cola rated Next Season 2 in 2014.
Music career
After the Coca-Cola Rated Next Season 2 singing competition where Winni Nwagi finished third, she started getting record deals. Ugandan music label Swangz Avenue signed her in late 2014 and by 2015 she hard strted releasing music.
Among her first singles were Ebeera, Katono Katono, Gwenonya and Kyowulira. Because of her great talent and nice vocals coupled with Swangz Avenue’s experience in management and marketing, Nwagi never hard trouble breaking through.
In 2016, she released Musawo which did so well and cemented her place on the Ugandan scene. Winnie Nwagi has never looked back since then. She has released several song over time that went on to become hits.
