The ban that was placed on actress and former Miss Tanzania, Wema Sepetu for the actress’ explicit video by the Tanzania Film Board has been lifted.
After a leaked video of Wema Sepetu surfaced, the Tanzanian Film Board had stopped the celebrated Bongo actress from participating in film or film-related activities.
Wema Sepetu came out and apologized to the Film Board, her fans and the nation but nothing had changed. The ban has been in place for over 3 months.
On Monday, the Joyce Sissoo, a board member of the Tanzania Film Board said that Wema’s ban had been lifted on grounds that the actress had fulfilled 75% of the conditions that the board had but in place for her.
The Tanzanian Film Board used this to warn other players in the movie and music industries that they will be tough on anyone sharing explicit photos or videos that they will be dealt with.
