Nina Roz, birth name Nina Kankunda is a Ugandan recording artist, model and fashionista. Nina does Afro Pop and Afro dancehall music.
Background and education
Nina Roz was born Nina Kankunda on 17 July, 1993 to Lucy Mbabazi, a Ugandan and Hajji Gitta Salongo, a Rwandan. She was raised in Kibuli, a neighborhood in Kampala, Uganda.
Nina went to Saint Stephens Primary School, a Church Of Uganda (COU) affiliated school for her elementary education. After St. Stephens, Nina Roz joined Kakungulu Secondary School for her O’ Level and completed high school at Twinity College Mityana.
Nina Roz joined International University Of east Africa (IUEA) in Kampala and studied Business Administration. As of 2018, Nina took a break in her second year for unknown reasons put plans to go back and finish her degree, according to her close friends.
Fashion career
During he S6 vaccation, Nina Roz started modeling. She was a commercial as well as a runway model and she worked with several fashion. Nina’s height of over 6ft and unique style made her a darling in the Ugandan fashion industry and she rose to fame so fast.
Music career
Nina came to the music scene in 2016 with her first single Twebuusa. She continued with several singles the same year including Fight For It, Daily Basis and Omale Obwake.
In 2017, Nina released Omuliro which did so well and sealed her position in on the music scene. Later, Singles like Olumya Banno in 2018 and Aniyanama 19 were well received and enjoyed air play.
Nina Roz is known for her silky voice and her videos are characterized with creativity and fashion trend which makes them unique. Besides videos, Nina is an energetic and creative performer on stage making her popular among concert lovers.
