NBS TV star presenter Douglas Lwanga could seal a deal with MTV African anytime now. Reliable sources confirm that Douglas is in final talks with the South African based station.
MTV Africa made contact in April and talks with Douglas are said to have started then. The COVID-19 pandemic slowed the deal down but dint stop it and now its almost sealed.
Sources say Douglas Lwanga is looking at a salary figure triple his current salary at NBS TV which is itself said to be a very good one by Uganda standards. This with the continent wide exposure will push Douglas’ presenter status to an international level.
Duglas Lwanga started his media journey at Recrd TV and his Katogo entertainment show became a hit. From there he joined NTV doing NTV The Beat before joining NBS TV. His current show, NBS After 5 and NBS Katchup are the highest rated entertainment shows in the country.
MTV Africa will a great step in the right direction for Douglas and will take the Ugandan Media industry a step further on the international level. All the best for Douglas.
